About Pensador

What is a "pensador"?

"Pensador" is Portuguese for "thinker". Why is my internet nickname "thinker"? I am not sure I have a good reason for that. All I can say is that I'm the type of person who first thinks—sometimes a bit too much—and then acts. It does not necessarily mean that I make good decisions but if it turns out that they are not, at least I gave them some time and thought. Too much of that however, is not good either: it makes someone less spontaneous, which is very important in life.

It also happens that society, traditional religion and "Western" science give unsatisfactory answers to some of my somewhat existential questions. That is why I'm always reading books on alternative philosophy and beliefs.

I'm a Software Engineering undergraduate and an open-source enthusiast.
